A Day In The Life Of A Unisa Physics Student

Day 3:Experiment 2 Rotational Motion

OK so there was life after experiment 1. We had Prof Rampho taking us for this one, which involved playing with some intersting equpipment. Damn can't get on the internet from these computers. My partner for today is there in the yellow top, Thabang. and prof in the beanie further away. In the red Brenda, then Fanie (all smiles) Jeffrey on the other side of prof, and Anton ( posing for the camera) with Kate and Carlson sitting bracing themselves for whats to come. Quite a good experiment but it took so long and again rushed and just got it in on time.

This is a really pretty feature on the campus, when i have a chance I'll take a better pic.

Day 2: Experiment 1 Linear Air track

Well seriously this is no joke, and I just hope the rest of the experiments aren't this hectic. Not a very interesting experiment at all despite the topic being interesting ( motion, conservation of energy) . Too many measurements, not knowing what was going on, leading to noone finishing their reports.

Evidently Leanne and Jeffrey my partners for the day were enjoying themselves.

Reports have to be in by 4pm and thats all the time you get. None of us finished but hopefully still get decent results . Prof Lombard warned everyone the first report would probably be our worst. Hope tomorrow is better!

Day 1: Orientation

Well wow, Joburg is different, more hectic than CT in every way. Hectic traffic, hectic weather ( very cold mornings and its super dry, check it out here by the dry grass etc. I actually saw someone flick a cigarette out a car window next to this hecticly dry grass , insane. UNISA is actually in the sillouette of this pic, the flat building in the distance. Actually its so impressive. and it looks like 1 building but when you get there its actually around 5

I was blown away when i got there. the entrance is impressive, the buildings are massive, the staff is so courteous and friendly the plants everywhere , it was really awesome. This is where you walk in at the main entrance .
